Before iOS 7 there used to be a great tweak called SpotLock that let you put your iPhone to sleep by simply swiping to the left spotlight screen.

Is there any iOS 7 tweak out there that would let me turn off my screen without pressing the power button?

Edit: Sorry guys, didn't know that CCSettings had this ability. You can disregard my question above.

How about a tweak that literally just turns off the screen but leaves the current app running, keeps the wifi connected, etc, rather than putting the iPhone to sleep? I would use this when I run a remote control app on my iphone. When I hit the sleep button, it takes a few seconds for the wifi to reconnect before I can use the app again with my TiVo.

I think insomnia keeps wifi on at all times (not sure if it's updated for iOS 7 yet). But there's nothing it can do when iOS puts the app in "sleep" mode

Is there a toogle that you can install to just act as the lock/sleep button? i'm on iOS 6 and that's about the only thing that's missing aside from my zephyr gestures...i really despise pressing my lock/sleep button in order to lock my phone. i also don't have auto-lock set to any time but never<<so that causes me to manually do it and i like that.

I use Screen Dimmer for turning off the screen without sleeping the phone :) Works great :)

You can always set an activator gesture to then it off? I think there's a lock toggle with CCSettings

Can you explain how you configured it to turn off the screen immediately, then resume back when you press a button without needing to renter you passcode? The options only seem to allow a minimum of 5 seconds for each dim the screen and then to turn off backlight. It takes ~15 seconds to turn off the backlight when I trigger ScreenDimmer via an Activator gesture. Then when I press a button, I am back at the lock screen. This defeats the purpose. I must be missing something.

Well, I wouldn't know how to shut the screen off right away. I use it with "AutoLock" turned off in iOS, having set Screen Dimmer to dim screen after 45 seconds and turning off screen 15 seconds after that. So it acts like the autolock set to 1 minute, but doesn't actually lock the phone, just turn off the screen.

When Screen Dimmer is "activated" (as in has turned off the screen), I just touch the screen, and everything is like I left it - no need touching any buttons :)
