Brief description: I was waking up to my battery never being 100% (it would show 100% but still have the lightning bolt going through it), and draining to 80% by noon without even using it much. Ended up turning off push notifications just to have some battery life by the end of the day if I were to be using it.

Solution: My 3GS doesnt ever charge to full if I leave it powered on while charging. The last 3 nights I shut the phone completely off while charging and low and behold... I have around 20% more battery power now. Currently my phone is at 97%... a far cry from 80%. Push enabled also.

Try it!

Mine always charges to 100% even when turned on (sleeping). 3g and 3gs.

Whenever I plug mine in it turns back on... How do you leave it off while charging?
