i'm in PB5, and my iMac suddenly cannot find the airport time capsule, the airport utility saids "device missing from network". Internet connection remains normal and functional.

intersting. Just tried on my MacBook Pro (late 2011), iMac (late 2013) and iPhone 6S Plus and iPad Pro and you are correct, the airport utility cannot find my Airport Extreme. Internet is working without a hitch, but none of my devices 'see' the Airport Extreme. FYI, I am a dev and I am using latest betas (as of 15 AUG) on all my devices.

Problem solved. It is a bug of the current beta, you could go to Airport utility ->File->Configure other, enter the Lan IP address (say 10.0.1.1) and the password for the AirPort Extreme, then you should be able to access the base station menu, after that delete the Apple ID from "Back to My Mac", the airport will restart and reappear.
