The iPhone 7 is my first 3d touch device and I've set the sensitivity to light which works well on app icons but some 3d touch actions still require quite a firm press.

Especially the multitasking from the left side of the screen gesture which I have to press quite hard and often doesn't even work for me. Is this normal? Also sometimes moving the cursor on the keyboard requires a firm press.

I think it's like the difference between peek and pop. Some require the pressure of peeks, which is less, otjers require the pressure of pops which is more. And of course this is not scientific just how it 'feels'.
