Anybody else notice that certain apps use the old style keyboard? I've noticed it on Hangouts and Tapatalk so far. Normal?

Yes. Developers must update their apps to take advantage of the new APIs in iOS 7. Any apps that have not specifically been updated by their developers to match iOS 7 will use the old keyboard, etc..

Yeah noticed the same for lots of other apps. Even the ones which are ios 7 compatible.. Strange

There is a difference between iOS 7 compatible (updated to fix bugs which cause the app to crash when used on iOS 7), and updated for iOS 7 (updated with the new APIs to take advantage of new designs and functions available with iOS 7).

Ive noticed the same in some apps like What's App.
I'm guessing those apps have not fully been updated to take advantage of iOS 7 yet. In due time they will all get updated.

The apps using the old KB is because they were still built using iOS 6 or earlier but have been tested to work with iOS7.

Apps built with the iOS 7 SDK will have the new KB, table gestures (swipe left to navigate backwards) and the status bar will usually match the Navigation bar.

I noticed on the 4s and the iPad 4 that the old keyboard is quicker to the touch than the new iOS 7 keyboard.
I suspect it has something to do with the translucency and the gaussian blur.

Surprisingly the bbm app uses the old keyboard too... But the app they launched is generally ******... Leggy and weird...
