check with your local universities too. We had a sale on the old 15 penryn 2.5GHz for 1200. I got one for my parentals.

Well let me tell you how pissed off I was I JUST bought my refurb with the same specs for $1350.00+ TAX

I called Apple, after an hour of fighting with them, I got $150.00 back and a incase for my new laptop.

Good onya' OP; I bought the MBP 2.5GHz (not unibody) for $1544 OTD, w/AppleCare and HP Printer at my university. Advertised at $1199 for about two weeks and they sold out in no time...
