I thought these might be useful / interesting to compare.
Various HD's that I have fitted in my new MP / tested in it.
First a new Lexar "Jump Drive" 32gb USB3.0 thumb drive
Next a cheap full size USB3.0 case with a 7200rpm seagate/32meg cache
And My old Crucial M4 256 in a USB3.0 portable Icybox case, it was never much faster than this !
Here is my new backup drive, Icybox Raid/JBOD with a single 3TB Seagate Barracuda 7200/64mb cache
It will have a second drive in it next week.
Next poor results of the M4 in a USB2.0 portable enclosure !!
Surprisingly good performance from a cheap WD Black 1TB
WD Velociraptor 1TB 10,000rpm ... nice result but at 3 x the price of the WD Black
probably not worth it !! - would benefit from a SATA III connection IMHO.
And finally the Samsung EVO 750gb flying along !!
