I've just noticed that under iOS 5 some of the Emoji are missing - specifically the flags. The flags show up correctly on the Emoji keyboard, but when you type them you get a text representation of the country in a dotted box.
For example, in the image below the first two Emoji show up fine, but when I tap the UK flag, it just displays G B.
Not sure if Emojis are enabled now by default in iOS5 as I had previously enabled them in iOS4.
This might not be a major issue, but it's a PITA for me because I (stupidly with hindsight) used one of the flags in my Game Center sign-in name so now I can't sign-in any more!
