We are getting new iMacs for Christmas and I want to get a couple games that actually take advantage of the new system.

We are getting the 2
27" i5 3.1 with the 6970M (1GB)

Going to upgrade both to 12GB of RAM as well.

We used to play WOW a lot on our current iMAC (In signature) but we are done with that time sink. However, I would like to get a couple games for the systems. I am up for boot camp as well.

I am thinking about getting SC2 but not sure what else. Like RPGs, Racers, Shooters (though mostly do these on the XBOX).

Will definitely get Diablo 3 when that comes out, but that is a ways off.

Super stoked about the performance upgrade we are going to get :)

Portal 2, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and The Witcher 2 are my favorites of this year.

TW2 will really take advantage of your new computer, and there's a killer deal going on til the 10th: get TW1 and 2 for $24.

If you can wait a bit, Deus Ex is coming out for the mac either this month or next.

The huge steam holiday sale will be here in a few weeks, so be sure to check that out.

IMO If you want to play the games really well, I'd forego the RAM upgrade and spend $100 to get the 2 GB video card. The 27" display can use it and you can always upgrade RAM later if you need to.

The Witcher 2 since you're up for bootcamp. Two Worlds 2 has a Mac release and looks pretty good imo.

Modern Warfare 3 has superb graphics, and Dragon Age origins looks really good too. Dragon Age Origins will ENRAPTURE YOU.
