It's capable of resolving individual blades of grass in sharp focus 30 meters away. Good work buddy. I know some scientists who'd like to get their hands on this baby for their own research.

well "pixel" is a bit of an overgeneralization. It's a standard film camera, which uses ultra-large format negatives. Then the negatives are scanned and digitally enhanced at the 900 MP resolution.

This is impressive, but I was hoping to see that an amateur had made a 900 MP CCD.

Goof point... I wonder why he calls it 900 Megapixel DIGITAL camera

I guess they won't be able to pack it into the next planetary rover then. No room for a dark room in those.

and here i thought they were just going to be used to print off super-spiffy 3x5's of his daughter's birthday party.

ah, such is life.

900MP? that's not even the way to describe the image capture... it's film!!!

so this is a breakthrough in film scanning? this ain't no digital camera.

this is about as exciting as those stitched Giga-pixel images. it's neat, yeah, but let's figure out what we can actually do with a large image. can these things enhance 3-D design? by capturing so muich detail... can you completely recreate a seen as if you were there? now that would be cool. now we're talkin' VR!

peace.
