So, I took about 3 hours following the instructions... I will be describing my very rare problems and how to get out of them.. Or try to.

So first, when you downgrade from 1.1.1 to 1.0.2, when they say

2. With the iPhone turned on, hold down the POWER and HOME buttons
simultaneously for ten seconds (until the screen goes dark). Then release
POWER while CONTINUING TO HOLD DOWN HOME for another 15 seconds.

They mean "10 Seconds"... I had trouble with this one for awhile, this is how i got it to work.. CLOSE iTUNES, Connect iPhone, (iTunes still closed) Hold down the Home and Power buttons for EXACTLY 10 seconds (use a timer if necessary), once 10 seconds is up let go of the power button.. then launch iTunes..

Here I had another problem, once I launched iTunes my Mac either Completely crashed with out an error, everything froze so I had to restart.. Just try, try again hoping things work the next time. I had to forcefully restart my mac I know more than 3 times.

Another problem I had was, I got a message in iTunes saying "Waiting for iPod" and it would do nothing.. and yes I mean "iPod", weird huh? Anyways, its okay to forcequit iTunes and open it back up.. After that, things started working again

Once you downgrade and are ready to upgrade back to 1.1.1 with jailbreak, I had some serious trouble. When I hit Update, it would restart the iPhone and then.. do nothing, but take me to a white screen on my iPhone and iTunes said "Unable to update" or w/e it says.. So, I had to restore my iPhone back to 1.0.2.. (I don't know if there was an easier way, maybe someone in this forum can say).. So after everything, I had to restore my iPhone 3 times just to get the upgrade to JailBroken 1.1.1.

Another problem I had was with Installer.app, when you goto download the community source it would say "Safari cannot download this", now I don't know if this will help anyone... But open up Installer.app, refresh sources.. then restart the iPhone.. then goto the URL in safari :).

After I was on 1.1.1 jailbroken, I had gotten past the point of enabling R/W access.. after that I had issues installing SSH.. use the application called iNdependence to install it on the iPhone as well as FTP, etc. The problems I had was executing the iPhoneinterface (iPhoneInterface: Unable to execute).. so yeah

So on other problem I had was, once I was fully done with everything.. I was like YAY!!!!! 1.1.1 jailbroken fun apps n' stuff.. and then I noticed I had 300MB capacity.. So as a thought, I uninstalled the "Trip1Prepz", and my 8gb came back :)..

So I really hope this helps someone with ther jailbreaking.... if not, sorry.
