iPod Some iPod questions for ya guys

I'm an Apple freak and all, but I would just rather post here than searching many Web sites for the information. First question: will the new iPod fit into the current Dock? I'm guessing not since there is now the Universal Dock. I just want someone to confirm this for me. Next question: will the new iPod fit in the Bose SoundDock? The reason for these questions is because my dad is upgrading from his iPod photo to the new iPod and currently uses the Bose SoundDock. There's a plastic piece that comes off the SoundDock for a little more room, but I'm still not sure if the new iPod will fit in there.
