some jb apps won't work on my two 3gs phone

Hello, I have two 3gs phones jailbroken and unlocked on os 4.01. I was wondering why did some of the jb apps won't work on either phone. For example: 5rowqwerty keyboard, advance preference etc, then some others work perfectly, like winterboard ect. thanks
