I have a 11 inch MacBook Air that I haven’t used in a long time. Anyway, I powered it up the other day and the top keys (qwertyuiop) don’t work.

However, I’ve noticed that when I repeatedly press on each of the key quickly with some force then I can get the keys working again. However, when I restart my MacBook Air the problem returns with non responsive on the top keys of the keyboard.

I was wondering if this could be a hardware problem or considering they start working when I repeatedly press on the keys that it could be nothing but dust or dirt under the keys. Please advise.
