My dad has an iPhone 6S Plus with the latest iOS installed. Some of the messages that he received disappeared. Some are there since he bought the phone. He still has 20,7 GB of memory free.
I checked the message settings and the option to store them forever is selected.
I don't know what it could be so any help would be appreciated. I also don't know what he does with the phone and if he accidentally did something.
One of the messages that are gone is from a number that was not in his contacts. He does not know for sure if any messages from his contacts are gone.
Also he has a lot of those silly games installed from the App Store. Could a bug in those games create any problems?
