some videos I download from liemwire have a freaky link attached to them when I open them, and for the stupidest things. Is there a way I can block this effect from happening?

Sounds like someone is being naughty. I do know what you mean. There are a lot of bogus files out there that link to a video of an iPod and take you to one of those get a free iPod websites.
