I don't actually need the backlit keys. I tried typing a bunch of random words yesterday and found out that unlike my mom I can type really fast (well pretty fast) without looking at the keyboard. But it kind of looks cool to have glowing keys in the dark in case I "do" mess up it won't be as hard to see the keys.
Oh heck lets face it... glowing keys just look cool even if they really don't need to be glowing.
Anyway. My five year old niece was in my room well I was in the shower yesterday and got some drops of milk on my keyboard.
My mom got alerted by her flipping and she ran in and held the power button down to shut it off and unplugged the thing. You know like... in case it decided to fry or whatever. She cleaned it off with a rag so when I got out of the shower I kind of... I guess sucked? (eek!) on the keyboard and got whatever little milk was underneath the keys up so I could wipe it off.
Yeah ok I turned the computer upside down on my bed with it open for a little while. They didn't stick very bad (it was skim milk) and they still work so nothing is fried.
But the keys that got wet are not as bright as the rest of them. The lights are still on underneath so I was wondering if maybe some milk just dried on the bottom side of the keys and is blocking the light from going through the letters?
It doesn't really matter, could be worse. But I'm kinda scared about popping the keys off. What do you guys think it is? And if I do have to pop them off... what's the best way to do it? Like... from the top, bottom, left, right and what should I pop them off with? Also could I break them by doing that?
Thanks in advance
