What struck me most was the focusing of those pictures.

I cannot take those kind of shots with my 28-90 mm f/4-5.6 EF lens.
 
Fairly okay shots. Not bad at all.

It looks like you are rather new to photography(?).

I would recommend that you find some tutorials and such to learn something about the basic principles and rules. That helped me alot in the beginning.

And then go shoot lot's of pictures and learn from your mistakes :)

I agree that you own favorite is the best shot.
