I posted something similar to this in athe apple support thread but thought i would get you guys opinion as well.

I am finally jumping into the world of mac with a 20" Alum iMac.

I mainly use it for iTunes, Photoshop elements, Safari, and some light gaming (Civ and Age of Empire).

Will the low end one be good enough for me? If not how hard is it to install ram yourself. (i am not tech savy at all but i do not like paying $100 for something that I can get for $35). I guess the main reason for me to get the next up 20" is the upgraded video card but do i really need that.

Any thought and opinions would be very much appreciated.
 
With that light of gaming, the baseline 20" should be fine. Installing RAM is really easy, I believe it's a single screw in the bottom that reveals the RAM slots.
