Hi everyone,

My computer crashed, and I took the opportunity to install some new hardware, including a new system hard drive, and reinstall Windows XP. It was the computer that I use to sync to my iPhone 3G. I've backed up the phone but I've never backed up contacts or photos. I do have copies of all the music files, and in fact I still have access to the old iTunes install on the old system hard drive, which I thought was dead, but turns out to be fine.

1. If I install iTunes 8, and sync my iPhone 3G, will I lose all my contacts and photos?
2. Would it be helpful to grab any of the iTunes 7.7 files from my old hard drive for this purpose? Or is it better to leave them alone and just start over?
3. I could also stick in the old system hard drive and boot the computer off of that, if that would help me not lose data on my iPhone. I have a trial membership of MobileMe, but I never set it up on the old iTunes 7.7.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
