Long time reader, first time poster.
I like many of you on here have been struck by the iJaundice. I guess I was spoiled by my amazingly white and beautiful 3g screen, but this screen variation among the new phones is really making my blood boil. I mean lets be serious for a second, the new screen (for a lot of people) clearly does not look right as compared to the 3g screen. Pictures look like crap, the colors are faded and overall it just looks dull. You really cant help but notice every time you power thing on. I must say though, the phone is amazing. Other posters have it right, its everything the iphone 3g should have been.
Now I went to the apple store to see one of the smartyapples or whatever you call them. That store is an absolute circus. Its pretty cool but I felt more like I was at a carnival shooting water guns at a target to pop a balloon while I was sitting on those stools. Any way, I've read here that people have had some nice experiences with these people so I was somewhat optimistic. Turns out I got the reject smartyapple with the rotten teeth and bad attitude. I guess my presence was completely ruining his day or something because that poor fellow did not look happy. He snared at me and just looked at my phone and compared it to my 3g, didn't respond to anything I said, he just fiddled with his computer, brought out a little white refurb box and switched it. I would've been thrilled had I not taken it home and put my pictures etc. so I could really compare the screen and seen that it was still yellow. I'm not happy at all, I completely wasted my time and I'm upset at myself for not staying there until he found me a good one. I guess I couldnt take the sight of that moron anymore so I hoped and prayed I'd take it home to look and it would be perfect. Guess my luck isnt any good.

Some questions that arose in my head that I'd appreciate any answers on:
1. What is the difference between an iphone in a brand new shiny box and the dinky refurb box? Snaggletooth tooth told me its a brand new phone, its just cheaper to make it a service phone. But I don't think I believe him because he gave me a yellow screen again. Maybe theyre just cycling around everyones yellows to people with minor button problems or something? Which leads to my next question..

2. He put my old 3g s that he just deactivated into the box. My personal information is all still on that phone. He said that it will be melted down, its illegal to resell it. Is this true? Is all my info safe?

3. Can this iJaundice be fixed with a software update? I was thinking about wasting more of my time and getting on the phone with someone at apple with a head on their shoulders to ask.

4. What are others with this problem doing? If you were me, would you keep going to the store to get a screen thats good? Funny thing was, all the display models looked perfect, even better than my amazing 3g screen.

If you got this far, thanks. Please discuss
