Not sure if this is the right spot....but I am at a loss here.

I was a long time windows user - got my 13" rMBP a little over a month ago, and I absolutely LOVE it. That being said, I keep having this odd problem...

I CANNOT get used to the command/control/option key's placement. I am a programmer, so I am constantly doing ctrl+c, ctrl+x, ctrl+v, ctrl+z, etc. So, I read that in the keyboard settings, I can switch the keys so they are like i am used to on my PC (which I use at work, which is the issue in the muscle memory and my not remembering all the time). I made the change, and it seems like every day after I come home from work and start working on the macbook, that the setting didn't "take". It is reverting back. Then, i saw there is a free app Karabiner that lets you map the keys, which I set up, and it works great - but then the next day, it seems it is reverted back again. I can't seem to figure out why it is doing it. I probably have it mapped in multiple places at this point....but it is just frustrating the heck out of me.

Anyone else with this issue, or any suggestions?

edit: should have mentioned, I am using a microsoft wireless keyboard, and have the dongle in the macbook, which primarily sits on my desk - don't know if that matters or not.
