I can't play some videos on firefox, specifically videos from instagram or keek. I get the message "no video with supported format and mime type found". I tried googling the problem and I think it's something to do with 'html5' or whatever, but I can't understand it or how to fix it. Can somebody please help me? I'm using Firefox 29, so it's up to date etc

I'm not familiar with those video sites, so I don't know if they support Flash as a fallback for situations like this. What you've run into is a Firefox limitation, sadly. Firefox (well, Mozilla) isn't willing to support patent-encumbered codecs like H.264, which clashes with the majority of web site HTML5 video implementations. Oh well.
