I switch to Chrome (the Universal version) on Intel Macs since Safari is having trouble playing back YouTube recently and noticed the performance and battery life is significanly better. Has anyone noticed the same behavior?

Somehow Chrome provides more battery life than Safari 14

Not here. Tried the beta and watching the CPU load gave me the creeps. Funnily enough, Edge is sipping battery even though the share the same substrate. I wish I could use Safari, but until they manage to display favicons in my bookmark bar it's not an option. Not even talking about the clunky extension management.
