Was looking to share a screen to with an iMac in another room in my home.
In Finder>Go>Connect to Server...Browse.
An older iMac of mine which is 25 miles from here on a completely separate network appears in the browse window. I click on it, log on, click screen sharing and ...voila. I am operating the remote machine as if it were next door. No VPNs or special preparations.. Is this normal? I share 2 or 3 computers on my home network, but never attempted to share with work computer.
Can someone explain how this occurred? I know there's a firewall, etc. at the workplace. Can anyone access it?
YIKES!!!
