So I was lookin at some car lots after church tonite, and when I'm about to snap a pic of a Challenger, someone pulls behind me in a car and it's a lady and asks, do you wana buy some candy? I said no thanks, I don't eat candy (being serious) thinking they (girl and guy) were fund raising for a school program or something.. But it came across my mind I knew what they were doing. Didn't have a chance to look at the license plate # and they left. If it was a bigger city, I coulda been shot :( I don't feel safe anymore..

Err, how old are you?

Obviously if you're old enough to be looking at cars, you could put up somewhat of a fight to them..no?

I'm 20, and they were in a vehicle.. guy and girl. Not gonna be shot at from a vehicle, I wouldn't stand a chance. I stayed about 8 feet away from their car window when I said I don't eat candy. The girl rolled her eyes when I said that too, and the guy drove away.

Could have been a prostitute/pimp or a pair of drug dealers. They kind of want to sling the wares instead of killing random people.

Rare chance you will find the man/woman serial killers pair.

My buddy who came to the car lot with me was pulling around the block, so I'm sure they wouldn't have even asked if he was there with the car waiting.

Your first thought was you were going to be shot? Ummm ok. :cool:
Don't follow random strangers. Just a thought.

so what do you think they were doing?

Yea...I'm not sure what the deal is here either. :confused:

What do you think they were trying to do?

im guessing they wanted to steal the car thinking it was his. he goes up to buy candy, they grab him or something and take his keys

"candy" = drugs

So according to you these sophisticated "thieves" lure unsuspecting dolts with a bag of M&Ms and then steal their cars? Really?

"candy" = drugs
Yes, I think everyone except the OP and steelas62 realises that.

WTF? How rich would drug dealers get if they shot dead everyone that said no?

As for the "I don't eat candy", that's so wonderfully innocent :)

You've got it all wrong OP. Your missing some key elements that once explained will help you better navigate life in the "big city"

"Do you wanna buy some candy?" = I've got chocolates and other sweets for sale if you're interested?

"Hey, you lookin' to score some candy?" = I've got some drugs if you're interested?

"Want some candy little girl?" = Just come a little closer to the car sweetheart... c'mon, you can do it, that's it... *van doors slam followed by screeching tires*

Though only slightly different in vocabulary, inflection, and tone, knowing the key differences when faced with these salutations can mean the difference in you enjoying a tasty treat, chasing the tail of the dragon, or ending up on a milk carton. I hope you have found this public service announcement to be both helpful and informative. Have a nice day.
