Hey,
As far as i know Hynix and Epildia Memory is usually used in the 7950 Cards.
I got a reference Design from Gigabyte that has Samsung RAM on it.
I already tried to flash it with no results:
Just for the Record, i already ordered a 280x Card. I started this thread to understand a little bit more about the Efi problematic.
I attachted The original ROM.

I already tried to flash it with no results:
- Using a ROM for Hynix or Epildia Memory gives me a Bootscreen but with false Colours
- Using the Netkas Skript first didn't work, then i found a new version of fixrom and the script worked. Nevertheless i never got a Bootscreen but the card works "fine" with the PC Bios Part
- I tried it by hand with a HEX editor (found all relevant hints in the original File, this forum and netkas gave me for the right Places) and used a Windows Efi tool to correct the checksum, same problem as with the Netkas Skript.
- I searched for "Hynix" in the original Rom, and replaced all timings with Samsung Timings (https://www.overclock.net/forum/67-amd-ati/1554360-tahiti-memory-timings-patch-hynix-vram.html) -> no Picture
Just for the Record, i already ordered a 280x Card. I started this thread to understand a little bit more about the Efi problematic.
