i feel that someone who has accesses to my computer knows my web activity, although i erase my history every day - is there a way this could be done? and if there is, could it be done from a different computer if we're linked up on the same server?

i have an ibookg4

Unlikely. Over the network they'd have to have your user account name and password to access anything besides your public folder. If you gave them that, well, then you deserve what you get. :p

Seriously though, if you're paranoid, just use Safari in "Private Browsing" mode. That never stores any cache, history, or cookies (which can break some sign-in sites like Facebook or whatnot).

If you access the Internet though a proxy server or some sort of web caching of filtering device then a person with access to that device could be checking out your browsing.

Most routers can be configured to track incoming and outgoing traffic as well, so someone with access to those logs could (at a minimum) know which sites you've been visiting.

things you'll need to solve this problem:

a. webcam
b. farm animals though a watermelon will do
c. lack of clothing and your imagination
d. post results to the internet

at this point your browsing history should be the least of your concerns.
