Someone please help: my headphone jack is not working.

Mac headphone jack isn't working?!?!!?
I was listening to music about 2 bars from full and in the middle of the song the sound just stopped. There is no light coming from the jack, and the mic on my apple headphones still works. The computer speakers still work as well. help? Also, when i try to play sound through the headphones all i can hear is buzzing/humming noise. HELP!??

i have used a different set of headphones and still nothing and ive restarted it four times...

haha sorry i was tired... and i bought it refurbished in december so i don't think i have a warranty? Is there a way i can tell?
