Something better in OS X 10.10 Yosemite.
I updated Mavericks to Yosemite a few days ago.
I checked all my non-Apple applications : a few needed to be updated, and I had to download a Scilab 5.5.1 Yosemite and remove the previous Scilab 5.5.1.
But the new Scilab could not be opened, asking for a Java update already done. At last I could open Scilab with a double click on one of my Scilab scripts saved in my iMac Intel 64b. Now, no problem to launch Scilab from its dock icon.
I installed the new Scilab on a MacBook Pro Intel 64b Yosemite without Scilab script. To launch Scilab 5.5.1 Yosemite, I had to copy the scripts on this second computer and launch Scilab the same way.
Apples applications : new updates to get Pages 5.5, Numbers 3.5, Keynote 6.5. An important bug was fixed in the new Pages : texts with subscript or superscript characters typed in tables cells dont disappear anymore when exporting from Pages to PDF, as it was in the previous Pages.
Yosemite seems working very well.
