Lastnight, as always I went to bed, put my phone in Airplaine mode(I don't want any buzzing emails) and made sure everything was off, then hit the sleep button.

This morning, I slept in... not by choice. Something completely killed my battery.

So I wonder what caused the drain?

Also noticed that this morning all my icons on the home row were reset to default and all apps were moved to a default like setting. Also my sound preferences were reset and my lock code was cleared.

If you're a Star Trek extra, particularly if you're wearing a red shirt, I'd start looking over my shoulder about now. :)

Actually, I had the same problem today...

I closed my mbp, plugged my iphone into it, and it was charging. I woke up, and it has less than 20% battery left. I have no idea what caused it. I know I put it on the charger.

happened to me yesterday afternoon, I completed a charge cycle on my laptop and as soon as I unplugged it, the battery life dropped a notch. continued doing that but I stuck it on the wall charger before I went to bed and now all is fine... I'm wondering if it had anything to do with Palringo cause that was the only change I made to my iPhone yesterday...

I wish there was a syslog , I would live to see if there was an app.. actually I'm sure it must have been an app or a zombie process running in the background.

something definitely hung.

Every time I turn on push it drains my battery fast. With push turned off I can get 3-4 days of moderate use, with push turned on I sometimes don't even make 1 day. I have tried this experiment now several times with the same results every time. I can live without instant syncing if it makes that big of a difference.

If the iPhone was plugged into the mbp usb port then that is your problem, esp. if the iPhone is a 3G. When the mbp goes to sleep it quits charging the iPhone, and even if it doesn't go to sleep the iPhone 3G (with 3G on) uses power faster than the usb can charge it.

Check your phone calls on your AT&T bill. Are there any long calls to China? Maybe your iphone phoned home...

It's a global power drained caused by the rampant turnips of the apple empire of the peanuts of the onions...

So how did we go from a phone problem, to star trek, to Vampires to Doctor Who?
