Hey Arn etc, I've noticed in the last few hours that macrumors.com has really slowed down. Pages are stalling left, right and centre. I have to go back and click on a link in the forums a couple of times before it "takes" and moves me to that page.

All my other websites are working fine, just thought I'd give you some warning that there's some monkey business going on.

Haven't noticed any monkey business here...try moving to the US. Perhaps whatever tube MR uses to get to Australia is clogged and needs some Drano.

Ditto.

Seems a bit laggy to me, but it's ok. Maybe the tube that goes to canada is a bit clogged :p

I hear yah! It's slow for me too, and I am in Canada.

I'm down in the internet café in town on a reasonably fast connection now, it's better but still a little "stally" - it'll say 34 of 35 completed for ages and then suddenly zip through.

At home it was stalling at 0 of 1 completed, 9 of 10 completed, 11 of 12 completed and so on.

are you that addicted to MR that you have to go to an internet cafe?

No, that's where I have to go if say, there's a 50+MB update for X11 that would otherwise take about 3 hours to download on my dial up connection at home.

Seems much better now though.

working fine here in Cape Town

Yeah whatever it was seems to be fixed now. Was bloody annoying for a while there, very difficult to keep my usual high quality banter going when you miss so many posts waiting for yours to go up.

Not in the part where I live:D

I have a 4Mbps connection and it's taking a long time for the MR pages to load:(

I sometimes wait at 34/35 for the main page - so it's prolly the server - I don't think arn is made of money and the overall loading time isn't all that bad, I've seen worse. Might be different when all you oversea people are online (north / south america), however no real issues in sweden :)

Usually when you're waiting on just one item, it's an ad being served by a third-party and doesn't have anything to do with MacRumors' servers.
