Hello, I am an Apple employee. I work for Apples technical support department. Apple does not tell us anything about what MacWorld will unveil, however I can tell you that the Desktop agents (ONLY) in the call centers are being forced to work OT all next week to compensate for increased call volume. By Desktop I mean G3-G4, not iMac. Other agents, portables and iMac are not being asked for OT. I have been here since the birth of iMac and never seen this happen for MacWorld). They are also hiring new employees to work in the Desktop que (G3-G4)which is strange for 2 reasons:

1) Apple usually ramps up for the holiday demand months before xmas, I have never seen agents hired this time of year. Making it obvious to me something big should happen to Mac Desktop computers.

2) New call center employees have traditionally always started in the iMac que, this is the first they have ever been hired directly into desktop. Desktop calls are more difficult than iMac calls so agents usually begin with iMacs and work their way up.

Ok, so I have no real important information here, just adding fuel to the fire. I know more about MacWorld than the rest of you, but I can tell from the posts that people want whatever information is available...

So there ya go..
