I have a MBP 2018 with Vega 20 and two 5K ultra-fine LG monitors – and a Magic Mouse 2.
All works surprisingly well and fast, except a scrolling issue with the Magic Mouse 2.
The scrolling up and down gets stuck or is erratic. It is not the mouse – it has been replaced by Apple and this one, and previous one, work well with another MBP 2012 that I have. Also – after mouse use, in Safari, there is some jumping around of the image – even when nothing is touched until it stabilizes.
1) The Bluetooth has been reset – the BT plist files deleted regenerated
2) PRAM and SMC have been reset
3) Mojave – latest OSX has been reinstalled
4) I also have the BT magic track 2 and it works fine (as does the built in pad)
5) Mice (magic mouse 2) (2 of them) has been removed from BT settings and re-added a few times.
6) Happens in all applications – however I run parallels on this MBP and on the Windows 10 virtual machine it appears to be OK
I have seen some reports on MBP2018 magic Mouse 2 issues, mostly during the Mojave Beta, but the issues were disconnect and right click, both of which work OK in my setup.
I suspect Blue tooth 5 drivers in Mojave have issues with Apple Magic Mouse 2. Apple support (have reached level 2) does not appear to have a clue. Anyone else has issues like this one? Anything else to try (other than the obvious, do not use this mouse)?
