something other than Iphoto

Every since i upgraded to life 09...iphoto app hangs, i have reinstalled, delted, fixed permissions, nothing fixes it. I tried to go back iphot 08 but it wont open my photos, it says they are not formatted to 08, i think because a i added the locations in the iphot09 (places)...regardless is there any other phto viewer similar to iphoto?

Have you tried rebuilding the library and/or thumbnails? hold down command+option when you open iPhoto.

For lightweight tools, try Google's Picasa. I prefer iPhoto better, but everyone's is different, and lots of people like Picasa better than iPhoto.

thx for the advice i did the rebuild and everything is working...i have trying to fix this for weeks...THANKS FOR THE HELP!

I spoke to soon, true it did fix the issue but only for an hour or two, everytime i rebuild it fixes, but if i restart my mac i have the same issue as before, iphoto hangs.
