Ever since I downloaded High Sierra whenever my MBP goes into sleep mode it will shut down because of an unexpected problem. This happens about 7/10 times it goes into sleep mode or I shut the lid. I just don't know how to fix the problem.

Re install High Sierra?
Install Sierra?
Call Apple?

So annoying! :(

This has happened to me many times also. (mid '17 13" w/TB)
Just happened again this morning.

For me it is about 3-4 out of 10 times when it goes to sleep.
I think this is a fairly common issue - I have seen others complaining about this with 2016 models as well.

Do you use external monitors? I think it happens more often when you unplug it from an external monitor when the lid is closed - then unplug the power source afterwards. I've been experimenting ways to prevent it but no progress has been made so far.

Strange. I have a mid 2017 13 inch TB MBP and I never had this issue since upgrading to high sierra.

Maybe see what’s running in the background. Possible there’s an app that is causing your issue?

If you have time and will, try doing format and fresh install, then make a local account and not use icloud (cause it might sync some settings back?). If this still happens, sounds like hw issue. I have 2015 13 (10.13.1), never had any crashes because of sleep, and I put it to sleep a lot. ... Or alternatively you could take it straight to Apple.

Sierra is unavailable at app store, internet recovery has only High Sierra, the only possibility to downgrade to Sierra it's a installation from USB drive (if you have)

You might try looking at what apps you have installed, and especially those that were running at the time you closed the lid. Developer (including myself:rolleyes:) have been known to do things that can undermine the OSes best attempts to manage power.

It's annoying because for the first 7 months I had the Mac it was fine.. its just when I 'upgraded' to High Sierra. I don't have an external monitor. Only some Bose speakers plugged in sometimes.

Only apps open normally are Safari & iTunes.

I would try quitting all apps for a few days before closing the lid and see if that changes the behavior. If nothing else this will help anyone working on your issue narrow down the reasons why it occurs.
