Never had this happen before. Basically my mouse suddenly started scrolling slowly. If I clicked the Firefox icon in the dock, it would take me to the apps folder in finder. If I clicked the Applications folder in the dock it would take me to "Macintosh HD" and not to the apps themselves. This lasted like a minute, and then it was all back to normal.

I have not installed any new apps for a long time, so not sure what just ocurred

If it stopped and isn't happening anymore, don't sweat it.

If you're just curious about how that happened at all, then let's do it. :)

Let's start with more detail about your machine and mouse.

It's all fine right now, and I hope it stays that way. Must have been some glitch with the mouse. Suddenly had the impression I was being hijacked, but I didn't notice any new processes under activity monitor. Odd indeed.

I have a Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 and a 13" 2010 MacBook Pro
