So I was going to move my MBP and I unplugged the cord and when the 3 pronged plug touched the left side of my mac with all the i/o ports and such, it just randomly turned off for no reason.

I *might* have been holding the power button but when I turned it back on the battery status said "Replace Now" and I don't think holding the power button would cause it to say that.

Anybody know if there could be damage? :(

maybe ur battery got shorted when the plug touched the left side of your mac?

not sure, but either way if ur mac is less than 1 yr old and ur mac is saying replace now apple will prob replace it for free.
