Something wrong with my new MBP 13.3?

I just want to make sure that this isn't a hardware issue. That would be a pain..

So I'm currently running only Safari and iChat. Whenever I re-enter a chat from browsing a website in Safari, the chat lags for a few seconds whenever I send the first message (the first message from when I come back from browsing the internet)

After the first message, everything in iChat runs smoothly...but I just find it strange that it consistently lags the first message every time I re enter the window

Any ideas?

Well, I'd try see if it does it in Firefox as well to try to figure out if it's a hardware or software problem.

If it only happens on the first message, it's probably not a hardware issue. First thing I would try is reinstalling iChat from your iLife DVD... then maybe a reboot. If it's still not working after that and it's bothering you, take it in to the Apple Store.
