I would save that picture (and any other time it happens) and make an appointment with the Genius Bar. That shouldn't be happening. Let them run some tests and try and find out what is causing that to occur. Be as specific as you can be with the Genius Bar, so that they can better assist you.

thank you! i will be saving it just waiting to happen a couple of more times and making the appointment!

I have the 2.8 ghz I7 rmpb also with the dedicated 750M and I have the SAME exact issue!!!! Sometimes my macbook pro has problems starting and the screen will glitch out!

Sometimes the graphics card will glitch out also when browsing internet.

I hope this wont be a widespread issue like the mid 2011 macbook pro AMD graphics card :/

I've had this RMBP for 3 weeks and only had problems 9 times so I'm going to wait till it gets worse.

Good luck! keep us updated@

Thats crazy, i will make an appointment with the genius bar to have that issue in the file. i will also get the apple care just to be covered. because im sure the repairs will get pricey.

But im worried. like the other day it happed and it only happens when doing web browsing.

mine happened on all occasions. It stopped though so I'm happy.

Tell me what happens at the Genius Bar!

i think your mac is trying to communicate lol. But give us updates on what happens at the genius abr

Any update marlon bishop or anyone having the same problem? I too have the same issue with my 2.8GHz/16GB/1TB/750m 15" rMBP Mid-2014 since the macbook pro came out last July. I see something very similar when web browsing to your screen shot above which will occur and essentialy pop up where I have recently closed a pop-up window playing video in the corner and once closed a shadow artifact of the window will flash like crazy on and off with the same kind of numbers and letters and strange lines within it where the video was playing. The cursor will also flash on and off as if I'm clicking many times a second! If I open a new window the artifact will appear on that new window as well, only way to get rid of the artifact is to close the original window before the errors occurred and start afresh.

This seems to be only occurring on the 2.8gh mid 2014 macbooks?? This also only happens using Safari as never happens while using Chrome. I prefer Safari so wish I knew why this was happening.

My 2.5 ghz also does this. Again, only in Safari. It is probably software related, as I can always take a screenshot of it and move the 'artifacted' window around.

If your still within the 14 day return window I would return it. I had that happen on my MBP, I was told it was no big deal and a month later the GPU was toast. It took quite a bit of complaint but I ended up getting a new one out of them.

My understanding is that if it can be captured in a screenshot then it is software and not hardware related. Is this correct?

Mine hasn't done this for a while, but it is a little disconcerting.
