Hey.
Lately I have been seeing a strange problem with my 1. Gen Apple TV 4K. Sometimes when I turn on the Apple TV and my LG B6 OLED there is a stranger green tinge to everything and I can see clear colour banding. I thought it might have been my HDMI cable, but a new cable didn’t fix my problem. I can resolve the issue by turning the screen off and on again, but still annoying.
All my software is updated and my settings on the TV are. Gamma 2.4, colour space “normal “, black level “high”.

On the Apple TV my settings are 50 hz SDR (I live in Denmark), 4:4:4 or RGB high (makes no difference) , match frame rate and match colour space.
Now the question is if a new Apple TV 2022 would fix this?

It is using the dominant color of the current screensaver to tint the screen. Change the screensaver and it will fix the issue. It has done this for years for some reason.

No, this is a different problem since it shows up anywhere including what’s playing on screen.

If it shows everywhere then it is most likely an issue with your TV settings. Try resetting all the TV settings to defaults and setup the picture, color & clarity settings again. Do you have cable or satellite TV as well? Does it show up on those TV broadcasts?

Question is have you tried the Apple TV on a different screen? It might be the TV.
