Hi,
I have a sort of powerful MacBook Pro but sometimes my music (iTunes) cracks. The problem: I have no idea where it comes from because it's when I am browsing Safari (light task), when I am writing with Pages (also a light task) or when I am playing or edit videos (both heavy tasks). I've tried several restarts, SMC-Reset, NVRAM/PRAM-reset and to close every process except for iTunes to listen to some music. The cracking is still there but not every 5, 10 or 15 minutes. It's totally random. :/
The last time I hear the crack, I looked up in iStat-menus and saw a CPU-spike at system-level process. But istat does not show wich process is most responsible for this spike or better how many percent of the spike consists of wich running processes. Is there any possibility to log this?
I hope this is understandable because I am german and my english is not as good as it should I think. :D

Thanks,

Xardas

Push... Doesn't anyone had this type of problem? Or has a trick to log the per-process-percentages?
