sometimes mic and even headset not working

hi,

my i4 often have this problem Mic not working and even the head set and not able to put into speaker mode? the funny thing is its not permanent sometimes it works fine and sometimes does not. is it problem with hardware or a bug??

Note: more than a month ago it slipped from my hand dropped to a glass table
