Sometimes my 6S+ does not seem to record when I push the red button?

Often time when I think I'm pressing the red button to shoot photos or videos it doesn't register on the phone and it does not record my video. I think it seems to happen more with videos than photos. Does anyone else have this problem or do I have a possible issue?
