iPhone 11 Pro Somewhat new to iPhone

Hello, I have a question.

I’m somewhat new to the iPhone world. I’ve had an iPad before where there’s a lot of pictures and videos in it. But now that I’ve I got an iPhone, I noticed that all the pictures from that iPad transferred over to the iPhone. I don’t want it to do that. I want to be logged into both devices using the iCloud, but how I’m do I stop it from syncing? I want to keep the photos from the iPad just there. Not my iPhone.

Go into iCloud settings and disable photos.

On the iPad or phone itself? I still want the pictures taken from my phone to save to the iCloud.

Wherever you disable it (iPad or iPhone) will stop syncing to iCloud.

photos will still save to the cloud on your phone.
