Hey guys
Do you ever get that thing where a part of your body, usually something small like your lip or eye lid incontrolably spasms or twitches for like a second? Well I have it on my lip but the only wierd thing is its been happening for like 7 hours, I dont know if its been continuos cuz it was happening this morning for a while and then I forgot about it and I just noticed im doing it. Its not painfull or anything its just like the left side of my lower lip is pulsating, almsot like my pulse I think. Any one have any explanations lol?

Sometimes I get a twitch in the middle of my lower lip, usually when I am in direct contact with insects that freak me out (i.e. moths in my room).

Has anything stressful happened to you recently?

I've had an eye lid twitch that was only noticeable to me by feeling it, but one couldn't see my eyelid twitching if I asked for a friendly diagnosis. It hasn't happened in quite awhile, but when it did I was going through some stress induced fatigue at the time.

I've only practiced veterinary techniques on warm-blooded non-humans though, so in my case especially, you might want to get another opinion. :D

Edit: it seems that fatigue was a concensis before I got back to finish the post.

I had that with my eyelid off and on for about a month. I went into the doctor and she said it was nothing. But we both agreed it was worth it for me to come in. She said it could have been some nerve damage so it was good to get it checked out.

If you're worried about it go have it looked at.

Not to worry you or anything but you seem to be suffering from a rare but highly contagious form of hypochondriactosis.

I agree with everybody else. It is perfectly normal to get mini spasms and twitches that can last for an extended period of time. I wouldn't be too worried, I get eye twitches occasionaly that can last for the better part of the day. Everyone swears I'm making it up because they can't visibly see it but I can feel it.

I don't think you have to worry about it. I have gotten those little spasms under my lip and around there. But I usually get them on my arms. The wierd thing, is its not really my bicepts but rather its...Well on the side of my shoulders. The place where you gets shots basically.

I'm with the crowd here - I get these spasms in various muscles, including the lip and eye thing. Sometimes 'cause too much caffeine - more often stress. Perhaps try and do something soothing.
To contrast with the every day twitches, a friend of mine has tourettes syndrome and twitche non stop. Meds help - but he still has a hard time controlling it.

I get eyelid twitches occasionally when I'm tired or I've spent too much time in front of the computer...

Rarely my bicep will twitch for a short while or my little finger will tic a bit....as far as I can tell it's really nothing. :)

Twitches are cool. They feel funny :D I made a topic like this a while ago. I'm pretty sure it's nuthing to worry about.

Warm compression and massage. Intersperse with rapid pokes to the length of the muscle that is twitching.
