Song Copies Show Up on iTunes After Update.

I downloaded the iTunes update & now my music, videos & apps have all been copied. I'm showing 2 of almost (A few things aren't copied) everything & also many things that were deleted long ago have showed up on my iTunes.

Anybody have a clue what caused this to happen?

What would be the best way to correct this issue besides going through & deleting each duplicate individually, or using the "show duplicates" feature?

I did a search & wasn't able to find anything that addresses this odd situation.

there's an option in iTunes, I can't recall where but it's remove all duplicates...
