I have a song that I had on my Mac about 2 months ago and is currently on my iPod but iTunes says is missing. I looked in Time Machine but cannot locate it in there. I can play it on my iPod and would like to have it back on my machine.

How can I get it back from my iPod to my Mac?? BTW, I synced the iPod and the file didn't restore back onto the Mac. What can I do?

This is an 30gig iPod classic

You can't tell me no one else has not had this problem...... Any ideas?

Is it a 'purchased' song? If so - when you connect your Ipod, right click on the section that appears in itunes for it (just under devices) and click 'transfer purchases'.

Failing that there's a ton of programmes which you can use to transfer songs from your Ipod to your mac - I'm partial to http://www.imacsoft.com/ipod-to-mac-transfer.html which offers a free trial of about 100 songs/transfers.
