Hi all.

I currently broadcast a weekly shoutcast music show on Star Citizen's Premier Radio Station:

http://thebase.sc

I recently switched from using Mixxx for both source and broadcast to using Mixxx for source and BUTT (Broadcast Using This Tool) for the output to shoutcast. I did this so I could put Audio Hijack 3 between my source and broadcast, which is very useful to me in a variety of ways.

Mixxx automatically sends song title/artist data to the shoutcast server, which allows our simultaneous Twitch.TV broadcast to display current song information. BUTT has this functionality as well, but it requires that the song title/artist info be written to a text file, to which BUTT detects changes and then sends the info.

Problem: I can't seem to find a way to get Mixxx to write that information to the text file.

Solution A: Find different DJ software that has that functionality. I'd prefer one with at least basic DJ tools (crossfade sliders, decks, playlists). Suggestions?

Solution B: Some sort of applescript or other tool that lets me drag and drop a music file on it, extract the relevant metadata, and write it to the target text file. Any ideas?

Solution C: ??

TL;DR version: I need a way to update a text file with "now playing" song metadata. Help!

Thanks,
-->iDv.
