song will play in imovie but not itunes

i have a few songs on itunes that are mpeg-1, layer-1 in my library that won't play in the itunes program but will play in other programs such as imovie. itunes won't let me move the files on a cd so i can rerip them and it's a blank file when i convert to mp3, and it's just frustrating. is there any way i can make the files readable for itunes? thanks.

i don't know. it just says unknown, but there's a weird [WIP] tag on it. does that mean anything?

You could try converting it to mp3 using Audacity of ffmpegX (one it's free and the other shareware, and both very good).
